How it works
How to create a pre-paid Virtual Card on your Banking App:
- Sign into your Banking App
- Tap on Manage at the bottom of your screen
- Select Cards and tap on the Virtual cards icon
- Tap on Add Card at the top of the screen
- Follow the easy steps to finalise and top-up your new prepaid card

Pre-paid Virtual Card:
- Pre-paid Virtual Cards are Free to use
- Pre-paid Virtual Cards are created on the Standard Bank Mobile Banking App
- The Pre-paid Virtual Card must be prefunded from your Current Account, Savings Account or Credit Card
- You need to set a 3D Secure Code for the Pre-paid Virtual Cards

- Creating your Virtual Card: Free
- Top-up or withdraw from your Virtual Card: Free
- Shop with your Virtual Card: Free*
*Purchases from international merchants will be subject to an international transaction fee, which will be charged at 2.75% of the purchase amount.

No need to carry cash, wait for the card machine or enter your card details with every online purchase. With SnapScan, you can use your smartphone to make payments, send money to friends and earn UCount Rewards Points. SnapScan is compatible with most bank cards, as well as the Standard Bank Virtual Card.

You can use your credit or debit card to pay by tapping any card device with a contactless symbol*. Every purchase is secure, protecting your data and your account. And don’t worry if you tap twice by accident – you can only be billed once.
