Action fraud alerts in the app

Verify suspicious transactions and confirm if they are genuine or fraudulent

Tap on the Standard Bank fraud alert message sent to your mobile device.

Sign in to your mobile banking app.

On the home screen, tap on Messages (in the top right-hand corner).

On the Message Centre inbox screen, tap on Anti-Fraud and Security to retrieve your fraud alert message.

The fraud alert message for the suspicious transaction will be displayed for you to confirm if this transaction is fraudulent or genuine.

If you’ve not made this payment, tap NO to confirm that this is fraudulent transaction.

Once you've confirmed that you do not recognise this payment, your account will the temporarily suspended. A Standard Bank agent will call you to provide urgent assistance to protect you against fraudulent activities.

Note:
If you don’t respond to a fraud alert message with an hour, the alert will expire.
